MICHAEL HASTILLO MEMORIAL GOLF OUTING & BANQUET

The Children of Michael Hastillo Fund was established shortly after the passing of Michael.  It was an account where donations to Michael's widow, Abi, and their children could be sent.  It was used for any needs Abi and the children had while they adjusted to life without their beloved husband and father.

In 2015, the first Annual Michael Hastillo Memorial Golf Outing & Banquet took place.  It was a huge success for the Children of Michael Hastillo Fund.  Knowing we would continue to hold this outing, we decided to create a separate account (CMH Fund) just for the tournament, which will go directly to Michael's children for any future needs they may have. We are lucky to also have an annual E.O Smith hockey game raise money for the CMH Fund.

Since establishing the CMH Fund, Abi was lucky enough to find love again and has since moved to New York. She and the children are happy and doing well, in part to the community who helped support them through a difficult time.

Because of the success of the tournament, we have decided to donate funds raised during the Annual Michael Hastillo Memorial Golf Outing & Banquet to a different charity every year. We want to keep Michael's memory alive, as well as help others in our community who have given so much to our family.  

​

The 2018 Michael Hastillo Memorial Golf Outing and Banquet raised $8100 for the Jacob Roger Poulin Foundation (www.jrpf.org/).

In 2019, we raised $7100 for Veterans Base Camp (www.veteransbasecamp.org).

​

This year, all funds raised will be donated in Michael's name to The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp (www.holeinthewallgang.org). We hope to have another successful year!
